Welcome

This site is produced and maintained by Alexey and Liza Semyonov. It is the place for us and our friends to store useful, interesting, or entertaining information related to our tango classes and tango events in DC area. The site is organized as a collection of databases that anyone can view and update (of course, as administrators of the site we reserve the right to remove any irrelevant or offensive material). In addition, we also have a full bulletin board with multiple forums that the users and visitors of the site can access.

Each database listed below can be accessed from the navigation bar on the left side of the page (if you canot see the navigation bar, you probably accessed this incorrectly - please, proceed to tango.prime-task.com). If you prefer not to use frames when surfing the Internet, go to tango.prime-task.com/index_flat.html. When viewing a database, you can add new material (new record in the database), or modify (edit or delete) the records you created earlier. You can only modify the records that you yourself have created and only by providing the "signature" password that you entered to create that record. The databases are:

Contact List
List of people, their emails, web site, etc. who use this site. If you add your record to this list, you will see a user id that you can use for identification when creating records in the other databases. That will automatically display your name and email next to your records. Of course, you can also add material to the databases anonymously, without being part of the Contacts List.
Calendar
Scheduled dances, special events, etc. Displayed in the order of the planned event dates
Internet Links
Links to other sites, most but not all related to tango and dance, especially in the DC area.
Documents database
This is a place for larger text documents, such as descriptions of dance events, discussion papers, books, etc. For example, poetry, which in a larger sense is another form of tango, appears here.
Photo Gallery
Pictures of tango and more.
Phonoteca
A small collection of tango music. We thought it is convenient to have some music on the Internet to use whenever and wherever no CD is available.
Steps Library
A library of dance figures that we and our friends practice, with a description of the leader's and follower's steps and a short video demo.
Dance Sequences
A collection of longer dances or parts of dances that show many of the steps in the Steps Library.
Finally, our Bulletin Board (tango.prime-task.com/forums) is a place for the discussions on a wide range of topics related to tango and othe dances.

We hope you will find this site useful. If you have any questions, please, email us at:

Enjoy!
